Subcontract dry lining and plastering work on 21 live housing sites
JMC Drywall Ltd carries out dry lining, tape and jointing, plastering, floor screed and render on new-build housing. We have 21 sites live across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, and we want subcontract dry liners, tapers, plasterers, screeders, renderers and whole gangs to work on them. Most of it is on large schemes.
The trades we need on site
We need people for every trade we carry out on a plot. That means boarding, taping, plaster, screed and render, and the metal stud and ceiling work that goes in around them.
A gang lead can ring for the whole gang. A single operative can ring too.

Where the work is now
We are on 21 live sites across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. These are the named schemes we are on now, who each one is for and the trades we carry out there.
We are also on site at Wivenhoe for Taylor Wimpey. Victoria Gardens and Dovecote Gardens are on the edge of Norwich. Our work at Dovecote Gardens runs to October 2026.

Long runs of work in one place
Large schemes mean long runs of work in one place. Westcombe Park in Heybridge is 450 homes, and we are on site there until 2028.
Victoria Gardens at Great Plumstead is 272 homes. Samphire Meadows at Frinton is 231. A gang on one of these can work plot after plot without moving on.
What to expect on our sites
Every JMC site has a named contracts manager who runs the job and visits it often. Your work is photographed and signed off plot by plot before the plot is handed over.
Operatives on our sites hold CSCS cards. New entrants can train through our apprenticeship pathway, which leads to NVQ qualifications.

- Rates depend on the trade and the scheme, so they are agreed on the phone rather than listed here. Tell us what you do, how many of you there are and which of our schemes you could reach, and the rate is discussed then. The office number is 01621 810293.
- Do I need a CSCS card to work on your sites?
- Yes. Operatives on JMC Drywall sites hold CSCS cards, and the card shows your occupation and your qualification level. Tell us which card you hold when you ring. If you are new to the trade, ask about our apprenticeship pathway, which leads to NVQ qualifications.
- Are there plastering and dry lining jobs near Norwich?
- Yes. Our named Norfolk schemes on site now are all for Orbit Homes: Victoria Gardens at Great Plumstead, 272 homes, Dovecote Gardens at Spixworth, 225 homes, and Harolds Gate at Harleston, 162 homes. Great Plumstead and Spixworth are on the edge of Norwich. Dovecote Gardens includes plastering and external render.
- Is there dry lining and taping work in Essex?
- Yes. In Essex we are on site at Westcombe Park in Heybridge, 450 homes for Countryside Partnerships, until 2028. We are also at Samphire Meadows in Frinton and at Wivenhoe, both for Taylor Wimpey. Our office is in Tiptree, between Colchester and Maldon, about 8 miles from Heybridge by road.
